During the summer, this ski club opens up its trails to hikers. Enjoy walking steep ridges and views of Yellowknife's back bay. Located several miles out of town on Highway #3. A $5 day pass is charged by the ski club.

Starting behind the Circle K convenience store, this trail meanders for 1.2km through the community of Frame Lake South.
This short (2km) walk wraps around Niven Lake. The trail features many different views and goes through or over muskeg, forest and rocks. Excellent bird-watching opportunities and a chance of seeing beavers or muskrats.
